An agreement has been reached between Chateauroux and Arsenal over exciting youngster Gilles Sunu.

Although Arsenal have maintained a studied silence over the news, but Chateauroux have confirmed it.

“We have agreed on everything,” Chateauroux chairman Patrick Totignon told eurosport.com. “It is nearly signed.

“Gilles Sunu will sign with Arsenal in February or March.

“And he will leave next July – not before.

“Everything is alright. We have agreed with Arsenal to officially announce his signing in March.”

The Ligue 2 side have been in talks with the Gunners over a deal for the fledgling striker, who is not 16 until March.

Arsenal are also keeping tabs on Strasbourg’s Morgan Schneiderlin.
