Hello to all.

Today is the Champions League final. Had it not been for that wrong decision by the referee, we would have been playing in the final now. Oh well… I wish they break each others legs there. Last I heard, Scholes got a busted nose. That’s a good start. Kill each other you bast*rds!!

Anyway, news from the Grove now. We have made our first signing of the new season. Setanta reveal that we have signed French Under-17 midfielder, the 17 year old Francis Coquelin on a free transfer from Ligue 2 side Laval MFC. French media claim that he underwent a medical in London on Tuesday.

Reports in media today suggested that Samir Nasri is in town for his medical and a Arsenal have agreed a deal worth £12.75m for the player. It was expected that the club would formally make an announcement in the afternoon. That didn’t come. What did come was a statement from his agent. Jean-Pierre Bernes, his agent, said:

“We are not in a hurry. It is true that we are examining an offer from Arsenal, which is interesting for Samir Nasri from a sporting point of view. But I have also received other offers.”

That could mean two things. The agent wants Arsenal to pay more which would result in more commission for him. Or, he is waiting to see if there’s a bigger offer coming for his client. The window has just opened and there is still time. What is sure though, is that he will be leaving his current club.

I had mentioned a couple of days back that Carlos Vela is coming back. It’s confirmed now. Vela, who was signed in 2005 and spent his time with Celta Vigo, Salamanca and Osasuna, has got his work permit. He has flown to Mexico and will join the team for the beginning of pre-season training in July.

That’s about it all. I’ll be back with more tomorrow.
