Patrick Vieira is making a lot of noise these days. First he advises us that we must spend to keep players like Flamini. He said unless we give in to demands of players, they will keep on deserting us. Well, so be it. Rather let a player go, however talented he might be, than compromise the financial security of the club. Now Vieira says that Bill Gallas should remain the captain next season. He says:

“He is a really strong player who is committed to the club. He wants to prove that he deserves to be Arsenal captain, I know he wants to be a successful captain at Arsenal, and he will do everything he can. He is a really emotional person sometimes. He expresses his feelings and that is why he is so popular on the French national team. I hope he stays as captain. I think he is a leader of the team. He has experience. I think he has the full support of the players.”

Right, he is an emotional person sometimes. And that emotion makes him kick hoardings and stage a mini protest of his own when the team needs him. I know you mean well Paddy, but try to stay out of our business, will you? Let the boss decide who he wants as the captain.

The Yank billionaire, Stan Kroenke, is in news again. It seems the Arsenal board have softened their stand against him. Peter Hill-Wood, who once famously commented about him saying, “that sort of people who know sweet FA about football”, is now saying :

“When I hadn’t met him, yes, I didn’t think he was the right person to take control of Arsenal Football Club. Now I know him as a man who is very much steeped in sport. He is a sports man. I now believe he may well have a vital contribution to make to the future of this football club.”

But it’s a long way to go before he can take control of the club. To ward off the Russian criminal and Dein, the board will first invite Kroenke to join them and ask his views about how he can take the club forward. Plus, Arsene’s views will be very important because whoever comes in must have vision and aim that matches with the boss. Well, we will see how this one develops. But if there’s a choice to be made between the Yank and the fat Russian, I know who I’m going to choose.

Moving on, nothing happening in the transfer market yet. No signings. But we are getting linked to all sort of players. Yaya Toure says he’d love to join his brother Kolo in the Grove. The usual, ‘I’d love to play there but I’m happy here’ sh*t. He’ll be a good addition to the team I must say. He is young, energetic and can fill the void left by Flamini. And he pops in with goals too. The Birmingham city striker, Mauro Zarate, has been linked to us. £20 million. It was believed that Brum will sign him if they manage to avoid relegation. Which they couldn’t and now he is available. But £20 million for him !!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha :D

With that joke, I bid you goodbye. Be back with more tomorrow
