Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is yet to take a decision on whether to play Eduardo in the FA Cup replay against Cardiff. Eduardo made a successful return to competitive football recently, when he came on as a substitute in the second half in a friendly tie between Croatia and Romania. He made a and played a delightful assist to Nico Kranjcar, which turned out to be the decisive goal of the match. He was also part of the squad in Arsenal’s away match against Tottemham Hotspurs, however, he didn’t play any part in the match. Wenger is taking a cautious approach towards the Croatian. “I don’t know [about Cardiff]. I don’t want to promise anything. I want the freedom to pick the team I want to pick.” Meanwhile, Eduardo said that he was feeling confident after setting up the winning goal for his country. “I feel good and I proved that I can play again. All my team-mates asked me if I was scared, but I’m happy not to fear anything on the pitch and I’m ready to play. When I came on, I must confess that I felt tension in my stomach, but it disappeared when I made my first touch. The most important thing is that I’m back, but I still have work to do to be the old Eduardo,” he said.
