Croatian striker Eduardo da Silva, who made just two starts this season for Arsenal after being out of action for almost a year due to a broken leg, yesterday underwent a corrective surgery on his left ankle. Eduardo recently suffered a groin strain that forced him to the sidelines for the remainder of the season. The operations means that the Croatian must undergo a dedicated rehabilition programme in order to be fit for Arsenal’s pre-season. A statement issued by the club confirmed the same. The statement said, “Eduardo underwent simple revision surgery on his left ankle earlier today. The operation went well and Eduardo will follow a dedicated rehabilitation programme throughout June. He is expected to return to full training in pre-season with the rest of the squad.”
