Adebayor Sold For £25 Million

Emmanuel Adebayor, who was omitted from Arsenal’s first pre-season game against Barnet today, has formally signed a 5-year deal with Manchester City, reported to be around £130,000 per week. Although the sum involved in the transfer has not officially been announced, it is understood that the deal was clinched for a cool £25 million. “I have come here to make history for this club and those supporters. It’s what the chairman and the manager told me that they want too and I can’t wait to get started,” Adebayor said afterwards.
