Arsenal beat Celtic 3-1 in their second leg UEFA Champions League play off played at the Emirates Stadium.  The Gunners went into the match with a 2-0 first leg lead. They were awarded a penalty when Celtic keeper Artur Boruc was controversially adjudged to have fouled Eduardo in the area. The Croatian himself took the spot kick and successfully converted.  Emmanuel Eboue made it 2-0 for Arsenal in the 53rd minute and Andrey Arshavin added a third 16 minutes from time. Massimo Donati scored the consolation goal for Celtic in injury time.
